The Good We Don’t See is a deeply personal reflection on the struggle with anxiety and depression, inspired by someone extremely close to me. This painting captures the way the mind can spiral inward, fixating on what was not achieved rather than the joy in what is already present. It speaks to the weight of self-doubt, the way success and happiness can feel invisible when overshadowed by an unrelenting focus on perceived shortcomings.
Through abstract forms and layered textures, I depict the silent battle of looking past the darkness to recognize the good that exists. It is about the unseen victories, the overlooked moments of joy, and the quiet beauty that still remains, even when the mind refuses to acknowledge it. The Good We Don’t See is both a reflection of struggle and a reminder that even in the depths of despair, there is still light waiting to be noticed.
